Creating a PhotosFree Account
Joining PhotosFree is easy! Simply go to the homepage and click on Not a Member?

PhotosFree is your Complete Digital Photography Solution! PhotosFree provides the most comprehensive photo printing and image/sound archiving services on the Internet - at prices you'll enjoy. We're the first website to accept both image and sound files from digital cameras. And the only site where you can add sound clips to your current and archived digital photos. You can even communicate via "instant voice mail" with friends and family as they view your photo album at PhotosFree. Our goal is to enable both novice and professional photographers to enjoy the full benefits of digital photography.

Signing in to PhotosFree
Signing into your PhotosFree account is easy!

In your Internet browser, enter http://www.photosfree.com as the URL address.
The PhotosFree home page is displayed.
Enter the User Name you chose when you joined PhotosFree.
Enter the Password you chose when you joined PhotosFree.
Click Sign-In.

Privacy & Password Protection
Use PhotosFree's passwords to make your albums public or private. You must enter a user name to access a PhotosFree account. The combination of user name/password determines the level of account access you have. Set the passwords in your account to choose the way you want your photos to be seen.

There are three types of passwords on your PhotosFree account:
  • Member
    This is your master password. It enables you to perform all functions in your account, from uploading images to setting account options. You set up your member password when you joined PhotosFree. You can change your member password anytime. Never share your member password.
  • Guest
    This is the default password for all of your albums. Guests must use this password to view your albums. If you don't set up a guest password, guests can sign into your account using your user name only. Guests can then view all albums, except those with album-level passwords assigned.
  • Album
    An album-level password that overrides a guest password. Use this option to provide extra security for a specific album.
To Change Your Member Password
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click My Profile.
  3. The My Profile page is displayed
  4. Under Account Settings, click Account Information.
  5. The Account Information page is displayed.
  6. Enter a new Member Password.
  7. Enter the same password in the Confirm Member Password field.
  8. Click Save.
To Set Up Your Guest Password
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click My Profile.
  3. The My Profile page is displayed.
  4. Under Account Settings, click Account Information.
  5. The Account Information page is displayed.
  6. Enter a Guest Password.
  7. You may choose any password you want, except your Member Password.
  8. Enter the same password in the Confirm Guest Password field.
  9. Click Save.
To Set Up an Album Password
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click the My Albums tab.
  3. The My Albums page is displayed.
  4. Mouse-over the album you want to password-protect.
  5. Select Album Settings.
  6. The Album Settings page is displayed.
  7. Enter a Password for the selected album.
  8. You can duplicate album passwords. When guests use this password, all albums sharing a password are displayed.
  9. Click Save.

How long will PhotosFree keep my photos?
PhotosFree provides free digital storage to our Members as long as your account remains active. Your images stay in your active account until you delete them.

An account that is not logged into or viewed for 90 days is considered inactive. If your account becomes inactive, your photos will be removed. Please remember to login at least once a month to keep your PhotosFree account active.

Setting Up Your Account

Uploading photos from a computer
PhotosFree offers three ways to upload your photos:
  • The PhotosFree Uploader
    Use the PhotosFree Uploader software to add multiple photos to your account at one time.
  • File-by-File
    Use this method to add from one to ten files (photos and sounds) in a single session without downloading additional software (recommended for Macintosh and Netscape users).
  • Email
    Email PhotosFree your photos from your computer and we'll upload them to your account.

Upload Method 1 (recommended): The PhotosFree Uploader

Use the PhotosFree Uploader to add multiple photos to your account at one time.
The PhotosFree Uploader is a free, one-time download to your computer. Follow the steps below to install the Uploader and upload photos to your PhotosFree account.
To Install the PhotosFree Uploader
Notes:
Requires Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later running on Microsoft Windows, or; Safari 2.0 or later running on Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.
To install the PhotosFree Uploader, your security software must be set to permit popups and installation of an ActiveX application. You must also have the latest version of Java installed. If you experience problems, please click here to verify that you have the latest version of Java installed.
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click the My Albums tab.
  3. The My Albums page is displayed.
  4. Click Add Photos in the left menu OR mouse over an album and click Add Photos.
  5. The PhotosFree Uploader page is displayed.
  6. Click Click Here to install the following ActiveX control: 'DPImageUploader.cab' from 'PhotosFree.
  7. An ActiveX dialog box is displayed.
  8. Select Install ActiveX Control.
  9. An Internet Explorer - Security Warning dialog box is displayed.
  10. Use the instructions below, beginning with Step 4, to upload photos using the PhotosFree Uploader.
To Upload Photos Using the PhotosFree Uploader
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click the My Albums tab.
    The My Albums page is displayed.
  3. Click Photos under the Add bar in the left menu OR mouse over an album and click Add Photos.
  4. The PhotosFree Uploader page is displayed. Your computer's folders and files are displayed in the File List on the left side of the page. On the right side, the top section displays the contents of a selected folder. The bottom section displays the photos you've selected to upload.
  5. Select the album you wish to add photos to from the Select Album drop-down list.
  6. In the file list, open the folder that contains the photos you want to upload.
  7. The photos contained in the selected folder are displayed in the top section of the page.
  8. To select photos, either:
    - Click a photo in the top section and drag/drop it into the bottom section of the page, or;
    - Click Select All to select all photos displayed in the top section, or;
    All photos are displayed in the bottom section.
    - Click a photo in the top section and click Add.
    The selected photo is displayed in the bottom section.
  9. To remove selected photos, either:
    - Click a photo in the bottom section and click Remove, or;
    - Click Remove All to empty the bottom section.
  10. Continue selecting photos, following steps 4 and 5.
    You can select photos from multiple folders.
  11. When you are finished selecting photos, click Upload.
    The PhotosFree Uploader automatically uploads the selected photos to the album you specified.

Upload Method 2: Select individual files (File by File)

Use this method to add from one to ten files (photos and sounds) in a single session without downloading additional software. This is the recommended method for Macintosh and Netscape users.
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click the My Albums tab.
    The My Albums page is displayed.
  3. Click Add Photos at the left of the page OR mouse over an album and click Add Photos.
    The PhotosFree Uploader page is displayed.
  4. Click Click Here for Other Ways to Upload.
    The File by File Upload page is displayed.
  5. Select the album you want to upload to from the Select Album drop-down list.
  6. To select the first photo to upload, in the column labeled Image(s) click Browse.
    The Choose File dialog box is displayed.
  7. In the file list, click the photo you want to upload then click Open.
    The selected photo's file name is displayed in the Image(s) column on the File by File Upload page.
  8. Continue to add photos, following steps 6 - 7.
  9. When you are finished, click Start Upload.
    PhotosFree automatically uploads the selected photos to the album you specified.

 

Uploading photos from a phone
Virtually any phone that is enabled for email and picture messaging can upload photos (and video) to your PhotosFree account.* Simply use the email function on your camera phone to safely store your photos at PhotosFree and keep your phone's memory clear! Your images are uploaded to your albums to view, share and print.

PhotosFree needs your camera phone's email address to add your incoming videos or photos to the correct account. A new album is automatically created when you upload. Uploads sent during the same day are added to the new album. You can create a new album by naming it in the subject line of your email. To upload additional videos into that album, use the same subject line each time you upload. Leave the subject line blank to upload into the default album.

To Email Your Photos to Your PhotosFree Albums
  1. Be sure your camera phone's email address is set up in your PhotosFree account.
    PhotosFree needs your camera phone's email address to add your incoming photos to the correct account.
  2. Email your photos to your PhotosFree account by addressing the email to: uploads@photosfree.com.
    Your photos are placed in your albums.
To Add Your Camera Phone's Email Address to Your PhotosFree Account
  1. Email yourself a photo from your camera phone.
    Your camera phone's e-mail address is listed in the "From" or the "Sender" field of the incoming e-mail.
  2. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  3. Click My Profile.
    The My Profile page is displayed.
  4. Under Account Settings, click Account Information.
    The Account Information page is displayed.
  5. Copy or enter the email address of your cell phone into the Camera/Cell Phone Email field.
  6. Click Save.
    Now you are ready to email photos to your PhotosFree account.
Notes:
Today's camera phones tend to produce lower resolution images than standard digital cameras. Please be sure to use your camera phone's best quality setting for optimal results. Consult your phone's owner's manual for more information on resolution.

* Cingular/AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless phones are supported by PhotosFree, as well as many regional cellular carriers. Please be sure the appropriate data services have been enabled on your phone. Emailing video to your PhotosFree account requires a Video Membership from PhotosFree.

Creating albums
PhotosFree makes categorizing your pictures easy and fun! With PhotosFree's album feature you can create multiple albums for your pictures. PhotosFree's album feature makes it easy to share with family and friends.

  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click the My Albums tab
  3. Click Organize.
  4. The Organize menu is displayed.
  5. Click Create Album.
  6. The Create New Album page is displayed.
  7. Enter information about your new album:
    - Enter an Album Name.
    - Enter a Password for your album.
    - The password is designed to protect your privacy and restrict access to your albums. You can choose to omit a password, but access to the album will not be restricted.
    - Enter a Description.
    - Select a Category for your album if you intend to make your album public.
    - Enter Start and End Dates.
  8. Click Create New Album.
    The new album is added to your Albums page.

Editing photos
Using PhotosFree's online editing tools, you can give your a unique look or just a quick fix in just a few clicks of the mouse.

  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click the My Albums tab.
    The My Albums page is displayed.
  3. Click the album you want to edit.
    The images in the album are displayed as thumbnails.
  4. Click the photo you want to edit.
    The selected photo is displayed in image view.
  5. Click Organize.
  6. Click Edit Photo.
    The Edit Photo page is displayed. The Edit Tools are displayed on the right side of the page.
  7. Edit your photo.
    Click a tool in the menu to learn how to use it:
    - Click Undo to revert to the last saved photo.
    - Click Save to save your changes.
    - Click Save New to save the photo as a new file.

    We recommend always saving as new. Once you save as new, your photo is displayed as the last one in the album. Click Edit Titles and rename the photo.

Can members download photos?
PhotosFree Members can download photos from their own accounts. Guests may not download photos.

When you upload a photo to your PhotosFree account, the photo is translated into a thumbnail and a display image, and the original photo is stored for printing. The original photo is not accessible from the PhotosFree site. To reclaim the original photo, you must use the Download feature. Currently, this feature is free of charge (PhotosFree reserves the right to change this policy in the future).

To Download a Photo
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Open the album that contains the photo(s) you want to download.
    Thumbnails of all the photos and videos in the album are displayed.
  3. Click the checkbox beneath each photo you want to download.
    A checkmark is displayed in each checkbox you click.
  4. Click Organize.
    The Organize menu is displayed.
  5. Click Download.
    The Download Photos page is displayed. Thumbnails of the photos you selected are displayed.
  6. Click Download Photos.
    The Download Images dialog box is displayed. The list of selected files is displayed.
    If prompted to download software, click Yes.
    - Click Save All As to select a destination for the downloaded photos
    - Click a file name in the list, then click Save As to select a destination for the selected photo.
  7. When you are finished, click Download.
    The selected photos download to the destination you selected.

Updating your account

Go to My Profile
My Profile is the core of your membership at PhotosFree. All the links you need to personalize and store your PhotosFree account information are located in My Profile.

Do you need to change your credit card number for your membership? Track an order? Link your albums? Find out how many bulk prints you have left? Change your display settings? It's all under My Profile!

1. Sign into PhotosFree.
2. Click My Profile, located at the top right of the page.

Changing your password
Use the Account Information page to change your user name, member password or guest password.
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click My Profile.
    The My Profile page is displayed.
  3. Under Account Settings, click Account Information.
    The Account Information page is displayed.
  4. Enter changes you want:
    - Enter a new User Name.
    - Enter a new Member Password.
    Enter the same password in the Confirm Member Password field.
    - Enter a Guest Password.
    You may choose any password you want, except your Member Password.
    Enter the same password in the Confirm Guest Password field.
  5. Click Save.

Updating your credit card
PhotosFree allows you to safely store your credit card information in your account so you don't need to enter it each time.

To store or edit this information click on My Profile.

If you are a free member you will see two choices. Need to finalise costs for these two choices.

- Upgrade Membership - This link allows you to change your free membership to one of our paid membership plans. For more information on the plans, please click here.

- Update or Remove Stored Credit Card - This link allows you to store the credit card information you wish to use when you make purchases from PhotosFree. This credit card information will pre-fill in the billing section of the cart.

If you are a paid member you will see one choice.

- Update Membership Credit Card - When you are a paid member your billing credit card is the same for both purchases and monthly Membership fees.

If you are a paid member you may not remove the card. We must have a card on file to bill your membership fees. If you wish to cancel your membership please contact support@photosfree.com.

To go to Billing Information now please click here. You may be asked to login first.

Updating personal information
My Profile is the core of your membership at PhotosFree. All the links you need to personalize and store your PhotosFree account information are located in My Profile.

Do you need to change your credit card number for your membership? Track an order? Link your albums? Find out how many bulk prints you have left? Change your display settings? It's all under My Profile!

1. Sign into PhotosFree.
2. Click My Profile, located at the top right of the page.

Sharing your photos

E-mail Invitations
Sending Email Invitations is the easiest way to share your albums with friends and family!

There are several places you can send Email Invites from.
  • Under the Share icon on the left hand side of the album page
  • The Mouse over for an album
  • Under the Share icon on the left hand side of the page while in an album
  • Under the presentation mode (big thumbnail) at the top of the photo and at the left under the Share icon.
  • Once you select Share Album the steps are simple.
Step 1: What would you like to share?
  Here you will either select or change the album.
Step 2: Who do you want to share with?
  Here you simply highlight the names of who you wish to send to and add them to the Invitation List.
Step 3: What do you want your invitation to say?
  You may add a personalized message if you like.
Step 4: Ready to share? Click Send Invitation.
  Send off your invitation!

Link to my web site
Linking your PhotosFree albums to your website is quick way for your friends to see your photos! And it's easy. You decide which of your albums you'd like to link to your website. When your website Guests click the link, they go directly to your PhotosFree album and view your photos in either image or thumbnail view. Plus, linking your albums is another way to sell your photos.

You can also link your website to PhotosFree. Guests viewing your albums can go directly to your website with one click.

To Link Your PhotosFree Albums to Your Website

  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click My Profile.
    The My Profile page is displayed.
  3. Click Linking to PhotosFree.
    The Linking to PhotosFree page is displayed.
  4. Decide how you want your Guests to view your photos:
    - Click Links to Image View to open full-size views of the photos in the linked album.
    - Click Links to Thumbnail View to open thumbnail views of the photos in the linked album.
    The Links page for the view you selected is displayed. Each Album in your account is listed, along with its hyperlink.
  5. Copy and paste the hyperlink for the album you want into your website.
    Click the hyperlink to go to your PhotosFree album.
To Link Your Website to Your PhotosFree Albums

  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click My Profile.
    The My Profile page is displayed.
  3. Under Selling Your Photos, click Upload Your Logo or Banner.
    The Upload Your Logo or Banner page is displayed.
  4. Enter the location of your banner GIF or click Browse.
  5. Enter the URL for your website.
  6. Click Upload.
    PhotosFree uploads your banner to your account. The banner is displayed for your Guests. To see the banner, sign out of PhotosFree and sign in as a Guest. The banner is displayed in each album your Guests can view. Click the banner to go to your website.

Framed prints
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click the My Albums tab.
    The My Albums page is displayed.
  3. Click on an album to open it.
    The images in the album are displayed as thumbnails.
  4. Click the checkbox next to the photo(s) you want to use.
  5. Click Shop.
  6. Click Gifts.
  7. The Shop page is displayed.
  8. Click the gift category you want - totebags, prints, coasters, frames, etc.
    The selected category main page is displayed.
  9. Click the item you want to purchase.
    The selected item's page is displayed. PhotosFree displays the photo you selected.
  10. Enter additional information, such as quantity.
  11. When you are finished, click Add to Cart.
    The Your Order Details page is displayed.
  12. Review the your order.
  13. When you are finished, click Checkout.
    The Shipping Information page is displayed.
  14. Enter the recipient name and address.
  15. When you are finished, click Checkout.
    The Billing Information page is displayed.
  16. Enter your billing and credit card information.
    At the bottom of this page is a drop-down menu where you can change the shipping information.
  17. When you are finished, click Checkout.
    The Order Confirmation page is displayed.
  18. Review your order carefully and make any changes.
  19. When you are finished, click Submit Your Order.
    Your Receipt page is displayed.

Photo greeting cards
  1. Sign into your account.
  2. Choose the album that contains your desired photo.
  3. Place a check in the select box or click on the photo to enlarge it.
  4. Click on Shop and Cards on the left side of the page
  5. Choose your graphic.
  6. Follow the builder.
  7. Review your card. If there are any changes or spelling errors, you may fix them now. PhotosFree is not responsible for spelling or grammatical errors.
  8. If you wish to change the graphic, click Change Graphic. Please be aware that PhotosFree will not edit the image in anyway regardless of input error.
  9. Choose the quantity. Click Check out.
  10. Continue with the ordering process as normal.
  11. Notes: Envelopes included. PhotosFree is not responsible for any spelling, grammatical or input errors. All photos are cropped. Please check the cropping of your photo in the cart by selecting 'see cropping' and choose 4x6. There are no cancellations or changes once submitted. Please allow 3 business days for processing regardless of shipping method.

Calendars
Personalized photo calendars are the ideal way to keep track of family events, special dates and school activities. PhotosFree's personalized photo calendars allow for a unique photo to be added to each month as well as the start date (month and year) to be customized. Follow the steps below to simply and quickly create your own custom calendar.

To Quickly Build a Photo Calendar
  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on Shop at the top of the page
  3. Click on Books and Calendars under the Photo Gift section
  4. Click on the calendar style you wish
  5. Click on Choose photos for this item
  6. Click on the album that contains the photos you wish to include in your calendar
  7. You may select all the photos on a single page by clicking Select All or you may individually check them.
  8. Click on Choose Selected Photos. You will now be taken to the builder.
  9. Select the number of calendars you will be purchasing
  10. Select the Start Date of your calendar from the drop down menu.
  11. You may change the photos for each month by clicking on the drop down menu next to each.
  12. If you wish to save your calendar for future purchases or review, click Save this Project at the top of the page.
  13. Review your selections and click Add To Cart at the bottom of the page.
  14. Proceed with the checkout or you may continue shopping by clicking Continue Shopping on the right hand side.
Note: Selecting less than 12 or 18 images limits the photos you can use for any month and you can NOT modify the list of images once you have started to build the calendar. Be sure to completely finish building and customizing the photo calendar prior to saving. After you save, you will not be able to change your selected photo images.

To Create a More Customized Photo Calendar
  1. Sign into your account
  2. Click on Organize on the left hand side
  3. Click on Create New Album
  4. Name your album and click on Save
  5. If you want to increase the number of photos you may add to your project, click on My Profile and click Display Settings. You may adjust your rows and columns to display up to 72 photos on one page. Once you choose the numbers of columns and rows, click on Save
  6. Click on My Albums at the top of the page
  7. Open the first album that has the photos you wish to select photos from
  8. Place a check mark next to the photos on the first page that you want to use
  9. Click on Copy, under the Organize icon on the left side of the page
  10. Choose the album you just made and click copy
  11. Click on My Albums to return to the list of albums. Repeat until you have all your photos copied into the new album
  12. Click on Shop at the top of the page
  13. Click on Books and Calendars under the Photo Gift section
  14. Click on the calendar style you wish
  15. Click on Choose photos for this item
  16. Click on the new album that contains the photos you wish to include in your calendar
  17. You may select all the photos on a single page by clicking Select All or you may individually check them.
  18. Click on Choose Selected Photos. You will now be taken to the builder.
  19. Select the number of calendars you will be purchasing
  20. Select the Start Date of your calendar from the drop down menu.
  21. You may change the photos for each month by clicking on the drop down menu next to each.
  22. If you wish to Save your calendar for future purchases or review, click Save this Project at the top of the page.
  23. Review your selections and click Add To Cart at the bottom of the page.
  24. Proceed with the checkout or you may continue shopping by clicking Continue Shopping on the right hand side.

Placing an order

How do I find a photo?
Find Photos enables you to do keyword searches for images that are public as well as images in your account. Find Photos is located in the top navigation bar. Find Photos uses album and image titles, captions and comments for matches with the keywords you enter. For better search results, give your albums and images descriptive titles and captions.

If you are searching PhotosFree for public images, you can select Advanced Search Mode, which enables you to further refine your search.
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Enter a keyword(s) in the Find Photos text box.
  3. Select to search only your albums, or all of PhotosFree from the drop-down list.
  4. Click Find.
    Find Photos locates all images matching your keyword(s).
You can choose to make your images searchable and viewable to the public. Setting your photos to public enables your photos to be seen by a much larger audience.

To Make All of My Pictures Public:
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click My Profile.
    The My Profile page is displayed.
  3. Under Account Settings, click Privacy Settings.
    The Privacy Settings page is displayed.
  4. Click Make All of My Pictures Public.
  5. Click Save.
    A dialog box is displayed that contains important information about public albums. Read this dialog box carefully.
  6. Click OK to continue.

To Set Individual Albums to Public:

  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click the My Albums tab.
  3. Mouse over the album you want to make public.
  4. Click Album Settings.
    The Album Settings dialog box is displayed.
  5. Click Allow Public Search.
  6. Click Save Changes.

About Making Images Private
PhotosFree automatically makes all your images private unless you change them to public. You can easily make your images private once they have been made public.
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click My Profile.
    The My Profile page is displayed.
  3. Under Account Settings, click Privacy Settings.
    The Privacy Settings page is displayed.
  4. Click Make All of My Pictures Private.
  5. Click Save.

  1. Sign into a PhotosFree account

Sign Into Your PhotosFree Account
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click the My Albums tab.
    The My Albums page is displayed. All the albums in your account are displayed as thumbnails (or in a list).

  1. To select an entire album, mouse-over the album thumbnail, click Add to Cart and select a print size.
    The default print size is 4x6. You can select other print sizes in your cart later. All photos in the selected album are added to your cart.
  2. To select individual photos, click on an album to open it.
    The images in the album are displayed as thumbnails.
    - Click the checkbox next to the photo(s) you want to use.
    - Click Shop.
    - Click the item you want to purchase.
    If you selected Prints, PhotosFree asks you to select a print size. When you are finished, click Save Changes. For more information on ordering prints, see the section below, Ordering Prints.
    If you selected another gift item, see the section below, Ordering Gifts.
  3. You can add images from multiple albums.
Ordering Prints
  1. When you are finished selecting photos, click Cart.
    The order Review page is displayed. Each photo you selected is displayed as a thumbnail. Adjacent to each photo are print options.
  2. Select Paper Type from the drop-down list.
  3. To apply print sizes to your entire order, select a print size from the Apply to Prints drop-down list.
  4. Select to Crop all prints in the order.
    You can set cropping for individual prints, as well.
  5. If you've made changes, click Update Cart.
  6. Make changes, such as cropping or print size, to individual photos.
  7. Click Update Cart to keep your changes.
  8. If you have a coupon, enter it in the Coupon Code and click Apply.
Ordering Gifts
  1. When you are finished selecting photos, click Shop.
  2. Click Gifts.
    The Shop page is displayed.
  3. Click the gift category you want - totebags, prints, coasters, frames, etc.
    The selected category main page is displayed.
  4. Click the item you want to purchase.
  5. The selected item's page is displayed. PhotosFree displays the photo you selected.
    Enter additional information, such as quantity.
  6. When you are finished, click Add to Cart.
    The Your Order Details page is displayed.
Checking Out
  1. When you are finished selecting photos, click Cart.
    The Your Order Details page is displayed.
  2. Review the your order.
  3. When you are finished, click Checkout.
    The Shipping Information page is displayed.
  4. Enter the recipient name and address.
  5. When you are finished, click Checkout.
    The Billing Information page is displayed.
  6. Enter your billing and credit card information.
    At the bottom of this page is a drop-down menu where you can change the shipping information.
  7. When you are finished, click Checkout.
    The Order Confirmation page is displayed.
  8. Review your order carefully and make any changes.
  9. When you are finished, click Submit Your Order.
    Your Receipt page is displayed.

View your order history
Tracking your orders with PhotosFree is very easy! Your account history and information is organized in the My Profile section of your PhotosFree account.

When you finish submitting an order through the PhotosFree website, you receive a confirmation page that shows your PhotosFree order number. You track your order using your PhotosFree account.

To Track Orders:
  1. On the PhotosFree home page, sign into your account.
  2. Click My Profile.
    The My Profile page is displayed.
  3. Under Order Tracking, click Order History. The Order History page is displayed. Your PhotosFree orders are listed with information such as order ID, order date, ship date, price, tax, total and which images were used.

Secure online transactions
PhotosFree puts your security first. We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology in our cart. SSL is an industry-standard technology used on the Internet to secure web pages and transactions by means of public key cryptography. SSL is a digitally secure communications channel established between our server and your computer. All data, such as names, addresses, phone numbers and credit card numbers, is encrypted. PhotosFree uses 128-bit encryption.

SSL is built into all major browsers and web servers, and this security is automatic. You can recognize a secure page by the padlock icon at the bottom of the browser.

How much does it cost to ship an order?
PhotosFree offers three shipping options: USPS mail, or 2-day or overnight delivery via a commercial carrier.

Once you submit your order to PhotosFree, processing time is 1 to 3 business days for prints and 3 to 5 business days for gifts. Shipping times are calculated from the date of shipment.
  • Shipment via USPS mail is delivered between 3 to 5 business days of shipment within the continental United States.
  • Shipment via 2-day is delivered the second business day after shipment.
  • Shipment via overnight is delivered by 4:30pm the next business day after shipment.

Please Note:
Overnight shipping is not available for international orders. Overnight delivery is not guaranteed for areas considered rural by the carrier. 2-day and overnight delivery do not ship to PO boxes or APO addresses. 2-day and overnight delivery do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday.
